1930s Brocade Tapestry Full Length Flared Coat 8 10
A really wonderful 1930s tapestry coat. Lovely warm golden base colour with floral brocade throughout in shades of blue, green, purple & yellow. Striking dagger collar with large oversized covered button up closure, one of which is missing which I will be replacing before it’s sent to its new home. Tapered sleeves & a long flowing skirt which flares out for the most beautiful sweeping movement. Size 8-10.
Measurements (these are taken from the rear of the garment when laid flat so need to be doubled where appropriate):
Pit to pit: 18”
Under bust: 16”
Full length: 52”
Material: unstated
Condition: fair for age - a few loose threads in the weave & somewhat naive at the interior seams but otherwise good for the age
