Early 20th Century Chinese Silk Embroidered Duster Gown
Absolutely stunning early 20th century traditional Chinese gown. I believe this would have originally been part of a lounging set but now stands alone. Black base with a white trim at the sleeves & hem all in beautiful soft silk heavily embroidered with symmetrical weaving florals and geometric shapes in clusters throughout. Frog closure to front with wide open sleeves & a bright blue silk lining. Free size dependant on desired fit up to an 18.
Measurements (these are taken from the rear of the garment when laid flat so need to be doubled where appropriate):
Pit to pit: 25”
Waist: 25”
Full length: 42”
Material: good condition overall for age with only noted issues involving the lining as pictured
Condition: good aside from an unfortunate area where the leather has suffered some transfer from water damage on the left sleeve & is priced accordingly
